Tuesday 30th April Horse Racing Tips

I love horses in form, and todays bet is a BetCirca tipping favourite. Let’s hope he can do us proud again today.

Mubtadi – 16:50 Bath – 5/2 Coral – NAP

This horse is 4 out of 4 this year over the all weather tracks, Ismail Mohammed‘s charge has a great chance of completing the 5 timer today over the turf course at Bath. Thomas Brown takes off a valuable 5lbs which puts at 1lb higher than what he won off last time.Thomas Brown has also ridden him for his last 4 wins so obviously gets a fine tune out of him. The consistant Ocean Legend rates as the main danger, and he’s got Catherine Gannon onboard today, so he’s an obvious danger, but Mubtadi is well in at the weights with Ocean Legend.

Ismail Mohammed is enjoying a 17% strike rate the last 12 months, and Thomas Brown a staggering 77.8% for the trainer, 100% strike rate on this horse. He remains in the same grade he won in last time and rates as a very serious bet today.

Saturday 13th April Horse Racing Tips

Well, that cheeky double came in. Black Caviar even drifted to 1.2, to increase our winnings slightly! Thanks for the free money bet365.

Time to focus on the domestic action today, no horses of the calibre of Wise Dan or Black Caviar running today unfortunately, although one of my selections will be hoping for a win today to consider taking on Black Caviar at Royal Ascot..

Solar Deity 15:50 Kempton – NAP – 7/4 Bet365

Solar Deity has been a revelation on the all weather after a disappointing campaign on the turf. Since the switch he’s 4 from 5. He hasnt run at Kempton since his maiden win, and a disappointing 4th in his next race. He then went onto the turf which as i mentioned, didn’t work out. He won the Lady Wulfruna Stakes (listed) at Wolverhampton last time beating the Dubai raider Kenny Powers (placed 3rd and 4th while out there). That result looks extremely good in the context of this race. This should be a walk in the park when you consider the opposition. A horse in form is Atlantis Crossing, who was beaten b the selection in February, who then went down a level to win a class 3 event by a head. This is a class 1. Es Que Love looked potentially very interesting when landing a class 2 handicap at Goodwood, he also finished four lengths behind Black Caviar at Royal Ascot. Since then however hes completely lost it, it would be very impressive if he turned up and won first time out in 2013, we don’t think it’ll happen however. Go Solar Deity!

Jack Dexter 15:30 Doncaster – NB 13/2 Betvictor

I was tempted to put this as my NAP, but due to the size of the field i got a bit scared. That said, he’s a horse in a rich vain of form. He came back after a 5 month lay off and got up to win 2 weeks ago in a listed contest over C&D. Towards the end of 2012 he was showing a very upward curve by winning a class 4, then 2 class 2’s. He was a well supported favourite when finishing down the field at Doncaster in November. This show’s he can be vunerable if the pace isn’t right, or things don’t fall into place. This is a bit of a punt, but 13-2 is potentially huge considering everything this horse has achieved, he just loves large fields to race against. One thing to bare in mind is that he tops the weights, he could be vunerable to something better weighted..

His connections are aiming to take on Black Caviar at Royal Ascot, aiming high there! I like it. Chance.

Tuesday 8th April Horse Racing Tips

Yesterday was ok! The first horse lost when it looked to be cruising, found little off the bridle, the 2nd horse won easily enough! Could of been worse.. Todays selections contains one of Betcirca’s favourite horses at the moment, so we’re hopeful of another profitable day.

Elusive Hawk – 3:00 Southwell – NAP –

Boo. This race isnt priced up yet. Don’t blame the odds compliers for not getting a market up yet, no one wants to take the plunge with this race. This is essentially a matchbet between Elusive Hawk and Hamoody. Now, Hamoody carries less weight, which is a plus for the horse, but it’s only 5f win as a decent class 1 win at Goodwood, SEVEN years ago. Since then it’s on the slippery slope down the hierchary of horse racing. Elusive Hawk is a multiple C&D winner, and although up 7lbs for its last win, the amatuer jockey takes off a valuable albs. I doubt he’ll win as easily as the 4l victory last time, but he has a superb chance of making it 4 from 5 here today.

Stentorian – 16:35 Southwell – NB – 11/10 Paddy Power

I don’t purposely tip up short priced horses, seriously. I only tip them up when i feel they are actually a decent price for the level of race they compete in, if that makes sense. 11/10 on this horse could look VERY good seconds after the race when it scoots in. This horse has only run 2 miles once, finishing 2nd in a Taunton handicap hurdle last year (by a head). Since then he’s been campaigned on the all weather, where his form reads 11221. He’s up 3lbs today after last weeks 9 length demolition job at Southwell. The owners of this horse are turning it out quickly before its 6lb rise in the weights takes affect, and with Ryan Moore booked, we expect a big run.

Monday 8th April Horse Racing Tips

We aren’t exactly blessed with top quality racing on Monday, so we’ll make do with some low graded all-weather action instead.

Aegaeus – 14:50 Kempton – NAP 11/8 Bet365

After switching from turf to the all weather surface this horse has placed 3rd and won last time out. Todays contest is a class 4 handicap, which is a step up from the class 4 maiden he won at Lingfield last time out. This shouldn’t hinder Ed Dunlops horse in anyway really, the complete lack of talent in his rivals means this is quite a confident selection. 11/8 Wont be around for long. One slight concern is the 5 month break after it’s maiden victory, so under the assumption he’s been fine over the winter, it should be all systems go here.

Admiralty – 15:10 Wolverhampton – NB 7/4 Boylesports

I do love horses in form, and admiralty came back after a 5 month layoff following a class 6 win at Wolverhampton by winning a competitive class 5 affair at Kempton in February. He returns to Wolverhampton where he was a C&D winner in October, to face several of the rivals he beat last time easily enough.Ismael Mohammed has his horses in fine fettle at present with the likes of Mizbah (3rd in a Meydan handicap a few months ago) and the ultra consistent Mubtadi flying the trainers flag. THe horse is up 5lbs for his Kempton win, but Thomas Brown essentially writes that off with his claim, the super cool amateur jockey whos been enjoying success lately can pull out all the stops on Admiralty today.

The double pays 11/2 on Boylesports. Juicy.

Sunday 7th April Horse Racing Tips

Well, yesterday wasnt that great! Neither of our tipped horses won, and some complete no-hoper won the National, great!

Today there are actually some good race cards on, Ascot has some decent jumps action especially, and that’ll be the focus of our tips today.

Ballygarvey – 4:00 Ascot – NAP – 4/1 Bet365 4/1+ Feature Race (Freebet if your horse wins at 4/1 or higher)

This horse won a class 2 race at Chepstow last time. He’s a front runner, and made all to win there, despite a few errors. The switch from hurdles to fences seems to of done the world of good for this horse, winning 3 from 4, the only defeat being a hot race at Cheltenham in January where the impressive Vino Griego and duel Aintree Festival winner Battle group filled out the places. He tried his best that day, but was outclassed by some useful horses. Tetlami runs in this race and is a threat, although he seems to have problems jumping. Away from grade 1 company now Tetlami is a real threat to our selection, but we’re happy to stick with Ballygarvey.

Little Dutch Girl – 3:25 Ascot – NB – 4/1 Bet365 4/1+ Feature Race (Freebet if your horse wins at 4/1 or higher)

After 3 placed efforts over hurdles, Nicky Hendersons fillie landed a class 4 juvenile hurdle last time by a wide margin and remains unexposed, a potential improver. The race she won last time wasn’t a great race, so this will demand more. She gets some big weight pulls, carrying a stone less than the 10/3 favourite Calculated Risk. We’re happy to take a chance on her today
